Based in Maryland, Jamison is best known for their cold storage doors used worldwide by companies Amazon, CostCo, WalMart & Sam’s Club. Jamison Door Company is a specialized door company with multiple divisions that engineers, designs, and installs a variety of specialized doors. Cold storage doors protect a variety of goods including the food we eat to the pharmaceuticals we take.
Jamison Door was up against a marketing challenge. Because of their clients’ industries’ strict security and safety regulations, Jamison was not able to photograph any of their cold storage doors in action. Jamison’s products were in super markets, freezer units, warehouses and more, but they weren’t able to show off and market their wide product reach.
Since they weren’t able to take photos of their products in use, Jamison asked us to partner with them in creating 3D renderings of their cold storage doors. Our mission was to create hyper-realistic 3D animations that demonstrated the function and movement of their doors. This allowed us to focus on the minute details and demonstrate better than a photograph the mechanics of each gear, mechanism, and zipper. We replicated everything from type of vinyl on each door down to the physics of how each door would open and respond to pressure.
In addition to creating 3D models for their products, we also designed a product catalog for Jamison. Jamison serves a wide range of customers -- from engineers and architects to the owners of the mom and pop grocery store on the corner. Knowing this, we focused on balancing a clean and easy to read catalog design with all of the necessary and technical product details.
