A design and architecture firm, MSB Architects is known for their strong customer-focus and wide variety of designs. Their work spans across multiple categories, containing commercial, academic, residential, religious, and municipal projects. MSB prides themselves on a customer-based design process, building projects that meet any need both spatially and aesthetically.
Recently, MSB Architects sought our help with a rebrand, which coincided with their move to a new location -- the Pioneer Hook and Ladder firehouse in downtown Hagerstown. As an architectural firm, MSB not only prides themselves on the creative design of new buildings but also reviving and revitalizing historic pieces of architecture. With this move to a new location, MSB was ready to launch their new brand. To keep brand consistency, we kept colors from their old logo in our new design.
MSB’s new logo needed to be unique, but still legible and visually friendly since it’ll be used on a lot of signage. Typically, when you pass a construction zone you see signs for the financing bank, developer, and contractor, but you miss out on the architects – we wanted to make sure that didn’t happen with MSB’s new logo. We created a modern and simple design; the premise of the new logo was an architectural building layout, which you see reflected with simple lines and boxes.
With MSB’s rebrand, we also developed a new website, stationery, large banners for tradeshows, and other print pieces. The design elements on the website and in the print pieces are sharp and precise leading lines that guide you through information and make MSB’s process easy to follow. Similar to the elements of the logo, other design elements are big and bold, letting the pictures and the words speak for themselves.
For MSB’s new brand, our designers focused on the idea that everyone has a story and that MSB is dedicated to building those stories. MSB is focused on capturing their clients’ unique stories in their designs. That’s how we developed the tagline “Your Story Built.”
